Photographers of Color is a small, independent editorial project about photography and the people who practise it.
We are not a gallery or an agency and we sell nothing. The aim is simply to look closely at good work and write about it plainly — which is rarer in photography writing than it ought to be.
Portfolio readings, craft pieces about the decisions behind a frame, and interviews with people who make pictures for a living. We avoid gear reviews, not out of principle but because there are already thousands of them and they explain very little about why a photograph works.
Pitches and corrections: [email protected]. We read everything, though slowly.
